After the ten-hour race that marks the Petit Le Mans, the final round of the IMSA season, DragonSpeed secures the title of IMSA runner-up.
On the eve of the Road Atlanta race, the team was still in contention for the championship, but a seventh-place finish was not enough to catch their closest rivals.

With three hours remaining, two consecutive drive-through penalties and a spin delayed the Ferrari 296 GT3 #81, costing it a lap and ending its chances of challenging for the title.

Davide Rigon “Everything was going well until three hours from the end, then a small mistake during the pit stop cost us a drive-through, triggering a chain of unfortunate events. It’s been a pleasure to be part of DragonSpeed, a team that always gives its best. Our Ferrari was incredible, and I enjoyed every single lap on this amazing track. I also want to thank my teammates, Albert Costa and Giacomo Altoè, with whom I shared this extraordinary season.”
