Spa-Francorchamps continues to smile on Davide, who at the wheel of the Vista AF Cors number 54 Ferrari 296 LMGT3 took third place at the conclusion of the 6 Hours, valid for the third round of the FIA WEC Endurance World Championship.

The start saw Bronze licensed driver, Thomas Flohr, tackle the first two hours of the race keeping the car within the points zone before passing the baton to Castellacci and then to Davide. Before handing the Ferrari over to the factory Ferrari driver for the final two-hour stint, Castellacci managed to climb back into the top five with Davide completing the job and even taking the lead thanks to some exceptional overtaking, despite a car not in perfect condition due to a collision early in the race that severely damaged the Ferrari’s aerodynamics, crossing the line in third place.

Davide RigonThomas started with a good strategy and managed to maintain a good gap to the leader. Unfortunately in the early stages in a contact with a Porsche, which also cost him a penalty, he ruined the front aerodynamics making the car difficult to drive with significant understeer. Francesco also did a good job delivering the car to me in P5. With new tyres, I managed to put together some good overtaking moves, taking the lead with a 6″ advantage. With the car damaged, at the last pit-stop we had no new tyres and so I only topped up with petrol despite the fact that they had reached the end of their life and so I was no longer able to make up positions. A more than positive third place in which I gave everything“.

With this podium the crew of the No. 54 car climbs to fourth place in the standings with 31 points.

The next round of the FIA WEC 2025 is the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the queen race of the championship, which will take place on the weekend of 14-15 June.
